My choices for the top 10 Miami Stories of 2016

4/ The Marlin’s Jose Fernandez dies in a tragic boat crash, shaking his fans and the city of Miami.
5/ Mayor Carlos Gimenez is reelected Mayor of Miami, giving him a mandate to work on public transit and sea level rise.
6/ Luxury residential home and condo sales take a beating, remaining stagnant for most of the year.
7/ Dwayne Wade shocks fans, leaving the Miami Heat for his hometown of Chicago.
8/ Brickell City Center opens, showing the success of Miami’s downtown after decades of planning and development.
9/ The Dolphins rally from a 1-4 start to make the playoffs for the first time since 2008.
